In the first round of the playoffs, the fourth-place Screaming Squirrels faced off against the fifth-place Brewins on Friday, handily defeating them 7-3. Arie Stock led the Squirrels with four goals and two assists.
The Brewins, however, gave the Squirrels a scare as they scored three straight to tie the game, 3-3, early in the third period before the Squirrels ran away with the game.
The Squirrels advance to the semifinals where they’ll face the Hockey Donkeys Bronze on Sunday at 7:10 pm.
