The Squirrels took a humbling loss Wednesday, falling in a shootout to Wolfe Pack, 3-2, despite a 25-12 shot advantage.
The Squirrels didn’t score until early in the third period, where they took a 2-1 lead on goals by Luke Chung and Cassie Campbell. But the Squirrels’ penalties came back to haunt them as they gave up late power play goal. The Squirrels even killed a 5-on-3 penalty kill in the third, before getting a power play late in the game.
Mario Constantinou scored in the shootout, but Wolfe Pack scored twice and got the win.
