A disastrous first period did the Squirrels in on Wednesday, as they gave up five goals in a 5-3 loss to the Laughing Skulls. After the first period, the Squirrels were the better team, as they outshot the Skulls, 31-8 in the final two frames while scoring three times.
Geoff Grek finally got the Squirrels on the board at the very end of the second period, while Mario Constantinou and Rylan Gottran scored in the third. The Squirrels scored in the first period but it was called back due to a quick whistle.
