This Squirrels didn’t play a bad game Friday overall, but they had a difficult time scoring in a 4-1 loss to the Thundercats. The game, in fact, was close until early in the third period when the Thundercats pulled away.
After a scoreless first period, the Thundercats took the lead more than halfway through the second period. The Squirrels finally got on the board early in the third period when Mike Bartock finished a breakaway to tie the game. But the Thundercats scored twice and quickly to take a 3-1 lead, then added a late goal.
