The Squirrels unveiled their new yellow jerseys on Wednesday, but found no luck as they fell to the Ice Cocks, 6-3.
The game did get off to a good start, however, as the Squirrels scored took a 3-1 lead on goals by Jason Wolf, Scott Kronzek and Brent Machado.
The Ice Cocks tied it in the second period, while the Squirrels went 0-3 on the power play.
In the third, the Squirrels couldn’t get anything going, and instead let in the eventual winner, gave up the Ice Cocks’ insurance goal and let in and empty-netter.
