The Squirrels suffered a heartbreaking loss on Thursday, going up 3-0 against the last-place Eagles but falling 4-3 in the final four seconds of the game.
Mario Constantinou, Vivek Pinto and Scott Kronzek scored for the Squirrels, who also had the shot and puck possession advantage throughout the game.
The loss means the Squirrels can’t finish any better than second place, going into Sunday’s final regular season game.
