The Squirrels finished up their regular season Tuesday with a rather easy 6-1 win against a lowly Silver Spring team, out-possessing them most of the game in a very one-sided affair.
Defenseman Joe Eck gave his best offensive effort as a Squirrel with 2 goals and 3 assists. Tyler Patty scored twice, while Matt Ekinci and Arie Stock each added one.
The Squirrels finish the regular season in second place, right behind the Dinosaurs – who they beat twice – and will have a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Charles Warner led the Squirrels in scoring with 22 goals and 10 assists, while Patty came in second with 18 goals and 11 assists. Greg Hainer led the Squirrels in assists with 14.
