With just a few seconds remaining in the game, Greg Hainer skated the puck from behind an empty Squirrels net and launched the puck as hard as he could. The puck took a bounce off of someone, right to the stick of Charles Warner, who roofed the tying goal with no time remaining on the clock. Though the Squirrels lost in the ensuing shootout, a point was salvaged.
The Squirrels outshot the High Rollerz, 41-32. Each team scored a power play goal. Warner assisted on the first goal of the game and scored the second, and also scored in the shootout. The extra point allowed the Squirrels to retain second place in the league.
