The Squirrels dealt the shorthanded Whalers only their second loss of the season Saturday, playing solidly in all three periods en route to a 7-2 victory.

The Squirrels won a bizarre game against the Jesters on Thursday, taking a 5-1 first-period lead, losing it, then winning in a four-round shootout, 6-5, with one goal coming after Nicholas Baxley dragged and shoot the puck with the toe of his stick.
