The Screaming Squirrels played their first ice game Saturday since before Covid-19 shut everything down in March of 2020, and ended up winning easily, 10-3 against the Rubber Biscuits.

Squirrels Merge With Meltdown as Mini-League Resumes Play
The Gardens Ice House is back in business for adult hockey, starting with a 10-game ‘mini’ league because far fewer teams have signed up to play, and fewer players. League Shuts Down Through Summer
Because of the coronavirus, The Gardens Ice House is closing through most of the summer.

The Squirrels couldn’t score for more than 2 and a half periods Wednesday, squandering two power plays and spotting Blades of Steel a 2-goal lead, one of which came in the final second of the second period, but then they scored three unanswered for a 3-2 win.Continue reading
