The Squirrels’ summer season came to an end Wednesday with a 7-4 loss to the Bullets. And like much of the season, the Squirrels still played well for stretches despite the loss.

The Squirrels took a humbling loss Wednesday, falling in a shootout to Wolfe Pack, 3-2, despite a 25-12 shot advantage.
Squirrels 6, Laughing Skulls 2
There was a question whether the 10:30 p.m. Saturday night hockey game would even be played, as the Squirrels only had six committed skaters and the Laughing Skulls had just a goalie on the ice for warm ups.
