The Squirrels’ summer season came to an end Wednesday with a 7-4 loss to the Bullets. And like much of the season, the Squirrels still played well for stretches despite the loss.
Jason Wolf and Tony Richelsen each scored to start the game, putting the Squirrels up 2-0, but the Bullets struck back with 20 seconds to go in the period. In the second period, the Bullets then scored four straight, then twice more at the beginning of the third period.
To the Squirrels’ credit, they didn’t give up, and scored twice more down the stretch, as Wolf scored his second, and Luke Chung slammed home a shot to make the score 7-4.
