Blades of Steel 4, Squirrels 2

The Squirrels got off to yet another fast start Monday, scoring once but having plenty of more chances, but tired legs cost them in a 4-2 loss to Blades of Steel.

Mario Constantinou scored the first goal for the Squirrels, off of a face off. The Squirrels held onto the lead before Blades finally snuck an off-speed shot through. Off yet another faceoff, Vivek Pinto – who almost didn’t play due to illness – scored to put the Squirrels up 2-1 going into the third.

But with just three subs up against a team with plenty of players, the Squirrels couldn’t keep up, even missing out on a power play that could’ve given them the lead, plus a shot that rang off the post. Blades of Steel scored late, then another empty netter.
