The Squirrels got the best of the Brewins on Tuesday, scoring five straight en route to a 5-2 win.
Brent Machado got the scoring started after winning a face off to defenseman Tony Richelsen, who shot it before Machado deflected it in.
In the second period, Don Marks scored through a screen. Later, Bryan Chiang knocked a pass from Marks out of the air to put the Squirrels up 3-0. Dave Chung scored on a 2-on-1, then Arie Stock scored early in the third period after a couple of deeks.
The Brewins scored twice down the stretch, including one off of a mid-ice faceoff, but the Squirrels held on.
Backup goalie Eric Kulacz played, as the Squirrels faced their other backup goalie, Bryan Pega.
