Tero Moberg scored twice as the Squirrels and Bullets tied 2-2 on Tuesday. The Squirrels seemed satisfied with the result, having came back twice. Even the Bullets didn’t mind seem to mind. Mike Shwedick said, “My old coach used to say a tie is like kissing your sister, but tonight’s tie was more like kissing a really hot stepsister.”

The Squirrels also took over first place in the league, though the second place Jesters have a game in hand. Also, the 5 Holes demolished the Jesters, 7-0 on Wednesday, putting them one point behind the Squirrels.

Both Tony Richelsen and Jon Danziger had hat-tricks and an assist in the Squirrels’ 9-1 win against the Wolfe Pack on Sunday. The Squirrels are now tied for first in the Bronze 2 division with defending champ the Highlanders.

It was another dominating game for the Screaming Squirrels, who have no shortage of speed and offensive output this season. Facing goaltender Ryan Meeks, who is known to steal games for his team, the Squirrels put up five goals in the first period. The Real C Team cut it to 5-3 early in the second half but the Squirrels kept the puck in the offensive zone most of the game and ended up winning, 7-3.

Mark Tessar and Brian Icieck each scored twice, while Jeff Ford, Ben Sumner and Eric Smith each added one.
