Whalers 7, Squirrels 3

The Squirrels didn’t play very well Saturday as they fell to the Whalers, 7-3.

Rob Myers had a good game, however, as he stole a puck from a defenseman and clanged in a shot on a breakaway in the second period to cut the Whalers lead to 4-1. The Squirrels didn’t score again until Dave Chung found a gaping net, at which point the Squirrels were trailing 6-2. Myers scored again on a feed from Brent Machado.
