The Squirrels took on the undefeated Thundercats on Saturday, and gave them their first loss of the season in a 5-4 win.

This Squirrels didn’t play a bad game Friday overall, but they had a difficult time scoring in a 4-1 loss to the Thundercats. The game, in fact, was close until early in the third period when the Thundercats pulled away.

The Squirrels advanced to the Bronze 2A championship game on Wednesday with a 2-1 victory against the Thundercats. They will be playing the Whalers, who beat the top-seeded Bullets.
