Ice: Squirrels 4, Highlanders 3

Once again, the Squirrels frustrated the winter-league champions The Highlanders on Sunday, scoring a late 5-on-3 goal en route to a 4-3 win. The Highlanders, who controlled much of the pace of the game by almost doubling up the shots-on-net, briefly led in the second period. Neil Shah scored for the Squirrels and Charles Warner had the other three, including the winner, as the Squirrels improved to 3-3 on the season.

In an odd twist, the Squirrels used backup goalie Adam Hart (who stonewalled the Squirrels last week) and played against their other back-up, Herman Johal. The same two players will face off against each other again next week – on opposite teams – as the Squirrels play Blades of Steel again.
