Ice: Whalers 4, Squirrels 3
The Squirrels squandered an opportunity to sweep the Whalers on Saturday, outshooting them but missing the chances they needed en route to a 4-3 loss. Scott Kronzek got the scoring started for the Squirrels, but the Whalers netted one with two seconds remaining in the first period and scored on a slap shot in the first 15 seconds of the second.
