The Thundercats eliminated the Squirrels from the playoffs on Sunday with a 4-1 win.
The Squirrels’ nine skaters turned to eight when Jason Gustafson had to leave the game with an injury in the second period. Despite that, the Squirrels still had many chance, but didn’t score until late in the third period, when Nate Groves ruined the Thundercats’ shutout bid.
Craig Beatty made 27 saves in net.
The Squirrels are now gearing up for the spring/summer season.
