The Squirrels played a relatively good game against the Jesters on Thursday, but couldn’t stop one player who toe-dragged his way to scoring all four Jesters goals in a 4-2 Squirrels loss.
The Squirrels did, however, take an early 1-0 lead as Tyler Patty scored on a rebound, and it was 1-1 after the first. The Jester then scored twice in 37 seconds. Ben Sumner stole a puck down low and swatted it in past Jesters’ goalie Ed Owen to cut the Jester’s lead to 4-3, but a late power play goal after a controversial penalty put them up 4-2. The Squirrels had a late power play but couldn’t convert.
